GIs Fire on Panama Intruders

WASHINGTON —
U.S. guards near two American military bases in Panama fired on mysterious intruders late Tuesday and Wednesday night in incidents similar to two that occurred last week, the Pentagon said today.
There were no casualties or arrests in either case and the incidents near the U.S. naval base and Howard Air Force Base are being investigated, Defense Department spokesman Dan Howard told reporters.
