Nursing Home Patient Care

Share

One does not need to be highly trained to recognize there is a problem when a trail of ants are seen entering and leaving the open trachea wound of an old and helpless patient. One simply needs to care enough to do something about it. Such problems will continue as long as there are young people who regard the old with contempt and lack of concern.

What the nursing homes need to do is make sure their personnel have some motivation other than the receipt of paychecks. Good training is fine, but knowledge and caring are not necessarily related.
