ABI American Businessphones reported that net income in its third quarter ended March 31 increased 54% to $503,000 from the $326,000 posted in the like period a year ago. Revenues for the quarter rose to a record $8 million, 15% more than the $7 million recorded in the fiscal 1987 quarter. Net income for the nine months increased 48%, to $1.1 million from $773,000 for the fiscal 1987 period. Revenues for the first nine months rose to $22 million compared to $20.1 million last year, a 10% increase. ABI American Businessphones, headquartered in Irvine, sells, installs and maintains telephone systems for commercial customers.
