Costa Mesa : Tribute Run to Benefit OCC Disabled Students
More than 1,500 runners and walkers are expected for Orange Coast College’s fourth annual Tribute Run on May 14.
College officials said the 5-kilometer run/walk will be held this year on the community college’s campus, 2701 Fairview Road. A stroller and wheelchair race will begin at 8 a.m. and the 5K run/walk at 8:10 a.m.
A pancake breakfast will be served after the races.
Each year the Tribute Run is dedicated to a charitable cause. Funds raised this year will be used for equipment for the college’s Disabled Students Center. Some of the money will go toward a scholarship for disabled students, campus officials said.
Advance registration is $10 through May 6. The cost includes race fee, breakfast and a T-shirt. Those registering after May 6 will be charged $12.
