Iran Arrests Saudi as Spy
Iran said today it arrested a Saudi Arabian spy in Tehran after he entered the country illegally carrying $4.5 million. It claimed the man, whose name was not disclosed, was planning to “spread Wahhabi faith and the American brand of Islam.”

The expelled Iranian diplomats arrived home today and accused the Saudis of beating them and of taking documents from their offices--claims denied by Saudi Arabia. There was no immediate Saudi comment on the Iranian report that a spy had been arrested.
