San Diego Chargers’ offensive lineman Sam Claphan is being investigated for possible drunken driving in connection with an accident that left six cars damaged, a San Diego police department spokesman said.

Claphan, 31, was driving a rental car in the city’s Tierrasanta section early Sunday when he plowed into a parked car. The force of the impact shoved the stationary car into four other cars parked along the street, police spokesman Dave Cohen said.

Officers responding to the scene wrote in their report that Claphan was abusive and uncooperative. Police said they suspected Claphan was under the influence of alcohol and ordered a blood test to determine his blood-alcohol level.
