Humana and Maxicare Health Plans announced that they have signed a letter of intent for Humana to take over certain businesses of Maxicare Kentucky and Maxicare San Antonio, including 143,000 members of Maxicare’s health-care plans. The agreement, which is effective July 1, is subject to regulatory and other approvals. Terms were not disclosed.
