Emergency Rooms Closing
We’re a rotting city if we won’t take care of our accidentally injured and suddenly sick. If taxes must be raised to keep hospital emergency rooms open, so be it. To allow women and children and men to die in ambulances while the drivers crawl through the traffic of Los Angeles searching for a hospital that will stop the bleeding, and ease the suffering, is a grisly thought, a nightmare idea that would sicken Charles Dickens.
