Pravda Edition Goes on Sale in Vienna
A German-language edition of the Soviet Communist Party newspaper Pravda has gone on sale in Vienna.
The paper, which appeared on newsstands Wednesday, will have an initial daily circulation of 15,000.
Christoph Raabe, who heads the company issuing the newspaper in German-speaking countries, said he expects to lose $590,000 by the end of the year but hopes to break even by the end of 1989.
Pravda is to appear daily, but Sunday and Monday editions will be combined.
Prospective readers include companies doing business with Eastern Europe as well as institutions and associations interested in Soviet Bloc events.
