West Covina : Children’s Center Grant
County supervisors have approved a $150,000 grant to Bienvenidos Children’s Center Inc. to renovate its emergency shelter for abused and neglected children.
The county Department of Children’s Services places children under 3 years of age at the center, 421 S. Glendora Ave., until the children can safely return to their families or can be put in foster homes.
The grant will be used to renovate the second floor of the center, which is licensed to care for 43 children.
