55-ALIVE MATURE DRIVING PROGRAM
The American Assn. of Retired Persons (AARP) sponsors monthly classes for its “55-Alive Mature Driving Program,” a state-approved refresher course for licensed drivers 55 years and older. The two-day, 8-hour course costs $8, and includes a state Department of Motor Vehicles certificate issued upon program completion. The certificate is required by auto insurance companies for senior discount rates. Reservations are required for classes.

Classes during July and August will be decreased due to vacation schedules of volunteer instructors. If you are 55 years or older and would like to be a volunteer or participate in the mature driving program, contact your nearest AARP office or senior center.
