Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and West Germany’s Siemens AG said they will cooperate in developing, producing and selling integrated circuits used in telecommunications. They said in a statement that a major emphasis of the cooperation was a common chip family for the Integrated Services Digital Network. ISDN is an international standard being developed to ease transmitting voice, data and video over common telephone lines. They said the 12-year agreement called for Advanced Micro, of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Siemens to distribute the chip of the other partner. Siemens has a 12% stake in Advanced Micro.
