Local News in Brief : Hiker Finds Body in Santa Clarita Camp
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detectives are trying to determine whether a body found at 8 a.m. Saturday in a campground in the Santa Clarita Valley is a murder victim.
The body is of a person who had been dead for at least a month, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said. It was discovered by a hiker south of Sand Canyon Road in Live Oak Campground. The sex of the deceased had not been determined, the spokesman said.
