Blood Bank Is Cleared in AIDS Case Lawsuit

DENVER —
A state jury cleared a blood bank of liability in the AIDS infection of a woman who received a tainted transfusion. The Denver District Court jury on Friday found United Blood Services not liable for damages in the case of Susie Quintana, 50, of Dolores, who contracted AIDS from a 1983 transfusion after an accidental gunshot wound.
