Map Available for Restricted Building Areas
C.W. Cook Co., a West Los Angeles-based land surveying, planning and engineering firm, has published the first and only moratorium index map for the city of Los Angeles.
The 3-by-4-foot map and accompanying book sells for $100, with the map selling separately for $35.50, and the book separately for $75.50, according to L. Paul Cook of the firm at 11835 W. Olympic Blvd.
The reference material is also available for viewing by the public at City Hall and at the Department of Building and Safety permit issuing offices in Van Nuys, West Los Angeles and San Pedro, he said.
The Cook firm offers an updating service, which provides land owners, title companies, real estate brokers and builders with the latest information on building moratoriums and other land-use control laws throughout the city.
