Joshua Hammer was allowed 6,000 words to prosecute, convict and sentence Kevin Anderson, the “Whiz Kid,” yet you have refused to print my original letter and those of Kevin’s numerous supporters which depicted the falsity and injustice of the “Project X” article, because they exceeded 100 words. I understand the letters could have caused extreme embarrassment. I’m sure you feel legally isolated from responsibility with the “absence of malice” standards pertaining to the press, but I would like to believe you feel some moral responsibility toward those individuals whose lives you are destroying in an attempt to sell lurid headlines.
