The Indian government has signed a new agreement with Control Data Corp. for the manufacture in India of the company’s mainframe Cyber 930 computer, the United News of India reported.

The news agency said the agreement was signed by K. P. P. Nambiar, secretary of the Department of Electronics, during a recent visit to the United States. CDC is headquartered in Minneapolis.

India earlier negotiated agreements to manufacture Control Data’s Cyber 180-810 model and 830 model. The new machine was described by the news agency as twice as powerful as the Cyber 830.
