An opponent of war toys and cinema violence on Sunday launched a 63-day fast to protest Sylvester Stallone’s “Rambo III,” which reportedly cost $63 million to make. “I just had my last piece of food for 63 days, a juicy plum. It was delicious,” said Jerry Rubin, seated before the Coronet Theater in Westwood. (He is not the former ‘60s political activist.) Rubin said the movie glorifies violence with 245 acts of violence crammed into 109 minutes, including the killing of at least 123 Soviet soldiers. “On that account it doesn’t help build bridges, it helps to escalate conflict between the United States and Soviet Union,” he said. Rubin, who was still at the theater on Monday, said he’ll take fluids and does not intend to allow the fast to harm his health.
