An Israeli soldier was slightly wounded in the occupied West Bank, and troops rounded up dozens of Arabs for questioning. The army immediately clamped a curfew on Nablus, the West Bank’s largest city. It was the second shooting of an Israeli soldier since the Arab uprising began Dec. 9. Sgt. Moshe Katz, 28, was slain in the West Bank on March 20. Meanwhile, in a crackdown after a wave of firebomb attacks on Israeli targets, troops demolished seven houses of Arab suspects. Dozens of Jewish settlers, some wearing prayer shawls, blocked a major highway for two hours to demand harsh action against Palestinian firebombers.
