The popularity of the United States among South Koreans is falling drastically, and an increasing number of South Koreans have negative feelings toward Japan, an international survey said Thursday.

The poll was conducted by South Korea’s Dong-A Ilbo newspaper, Japan’s Asahi Shimbun newspaper and Louis Harris and Associates, Inc., of the United States.

It said only 38% of the South Koreans polled said they like the United States, compared with 70% four years ago.
