Spending Limits in California

Share

Yes indeed, we need a Boston Tea Party in Sacramento as Nolan pointed out. The party I’m thinking of though may not be to Nolan’s liking.

My party would peel the Sacramento legislative scene back to what it was too many years ago--a couple of months. Nothing has convinced me that a full-time Legislature and the bureaucracy, which Nolan chose to ignore in his column, have improved government in this state. In fact a very excellent case can be made to the contrary.

Under normal circumstances Nolan’s article would not have elicited a response, but after looking at the continuing maze of ballot issues I get a little sick of giving these professional leeches, Democrats and Republicans alike, a hiding place by ducking tough issues via the initiative process.
