Local News in Brief : Orange : College Receives Grant for Youth Ministry
Chapman College in Orange has received a $25,000 grant to conduct a three-year youth ministry project.
The grant was awarded by the Division of Higher Education of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), which is associated with the college.
A major part of the grant will pay for a five-day Youth Leadership Conference on campus in June of next year. The conference will bring together the denomination’s youth leaders and youth sponsors to develop a youth ministry for the church.
The project will be directed by Ben Bohren, director of church relations. He was senior minister of the First Christian Church of Orange for more than eight years.
