Malibu : Youth Seminar at Pepperdine

More than 100 student leaders from Southern California high schools will attend the weeklong 11th annual Youth Citizenship Seminar at Pepperdine University, beginning Monday
Several speakers will give talks on a variety of economic, legal and political topics. Jose Lozano, publisher of “La Opinion,” Robert Vernon, assistant chief of police, and David Davenport, Pepperdine president, are among those scheduled to address the students. Television news commentator Bruce Herschensohn and former U.S. Sen. John Tunney will participate in a debate Tuesday.
The seminar is financed by local business leaders.
