When President Reagan was faced with reporters’ questions about the responsibility of some of his Cabinet members and high government officers in the FBI investigations of extensive fraud, bribery and theft with billions of dollars involved in the military procurement process (Part I, June 20) he very properly replied, “I’m not going to comment until we have all the information.”
But the moment Speaker of the House Jim Wright was suspected of relatively insignificant campaign-fund juggling and with no real information at hand, the President very sternly and very improperly called for the appointment of a special counsel to prosecute!
What’s sauce for the Democratic donkey is apparently not sauce for the GOP elephant.
