2 E. Germans Flee to West

BAD BRAMSTEDT, West Germany —
An East German couple escaped to West Germany on Sunday by paddling a canoe through Baltic Sea coastal waters, West German police said. The refugees, a 34-year-old man and his 22-year-old wife, were picked up by a West German patrol boat and brought to shore about 45 miles northeast of Hamburg.
