Irish Prime Minister Admitted to Hospital

DUBLIN —
Irish Prime Minister Charles Haughey was admitted to a hospital today suffering from a kidney stone problem, leaving a major “state of the nation” speech to be delivered in Parliament by another minister.
Haughey, 63, became ill during the night and was taken to a private hospital where his condition was described as satisfactory.
