Worst Noise in Topanga Is Residents’ Gripes

Iam writing about jet noise in Topanga. I live in Topanga and I love jets! I admire the awesome power and grace of these mechanical marvels. Where are they going? Where have they been? My imagination runs wild. What could be more wondrous and beautiful?

I’ll tell you what is really loud in Topanga. That’s the dirt bike’s roar and the helicopter’s whap and the Complaining Topangan’s yap yap yap. Seems like every time I turn around, these Canyonites are moaning about something: jet noise, country clubs, golf courses, speeding cars, nakedness, people who picnic and on and on. I don’t care to get into their gripes, but why can’t some Topangans just enjoy the beauty of nature and man-made wonders together? Maybe they should move to the city, where they’ll really have something to complain about.

Flight is magical, fascinating. Jet power is hurling us into the 21st Century. I would like the people at the FAA to know this: There is at least one lady in Topanga who is watching and listening and enjoying this show!
