A 23-year-old man suspected of fatally stabbing four family members and injuring a fifth said he heard “voices in his head” that caused him to go crazy and grab a kitchen knife, police said. Joselito Camangian was arraigned in Santa Clara County Municipal Court on four counts of murder and one count of assault. He told detectives after the slayings Thursday night that he was listening to a local top-40 radio station when he suddenly went crazy, Sgt. Ted Keech said. “He talked of being in his room listening to his radio when suddenly he heard voices in his head,” Keech said. “The voices caused him to go crazy. The voices told him to kill.” Then, he allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and attacked his family in their Santa Clara home, killing a brother, two sisters and a niece and seriously wounding another sister. Keech said police were trying to determine what songs Camangian was listening to but added there was no indication that so-called “Satanic music” had anything to do with the attack.
