A unit of Aetna Life & Casualty Co. agreed to pay Manville Corp. $19 million to settle a dispute involving policies issued between 1980 and 1983. Manville previously reached settlements totaling $20.05 million for policies issued by Aetna before 1980. In all, Manville has reached settlements of nearly $790 million with Aetna and other insurers to finance a trust to compensate asbestos disease sufferers.
