A theater blooms in Carlsbad. The newly formed Carlsbad Theatre Company has announced plans to open its first season of three plays July 28 with “The Lady Cries Murder,” John William See’s surrealistic treatment of hard-boiled detective novels. Jacob Henry is the managing executive producer of the nonprofit company, which has leased the Carlsbad, a 430-seat, 1928 vintage theater at 2822 State St.
