Jeane Kirkpatrick

When I read Jeane Kirkpatrick’s column (Op-Ed Page, June 27) about the difficulties she and her family were having with modern technology, a feeling of empathy came over me and for the first time I had the feeling that she and I were both really members of the same species and inhabiting the same planet after all.

Now, in that warm glow of fellow-feeling, I would like to ask her a question: “Confidentially, Jeane, just between us, do you think ‘Star Wars’ is going to work?”
