Test of Trident 2 Missile a Failure, Air Force Says

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. —
A Trident 2 submarine missile launched from a ground pad Thursday in the program’s 13th test flight was a failure, Air Force officials said. It was the second failure since test flights began in January, 1987. The cause of the malfunction was not known.
