Walter J. Richardson of Richardson-Nagy-Martin, Newport Beach, is the designer of a contemporary-styled house to be built in a residential area near General Electric’s Plastics Technology Center in Pittsfield, Mass., that will serve as a laboratory for advanced construction technology utilizing engineering plastics.
The house will include a business center in the basement, a display area and a customer conference room.
The experimental project, a part of GE’s Living Environments program, represents a total investment of $4 million. Ground will be broken in the fall and the house is expected to be open in July, 1989.
