More than 100 former members of Nazi German SS units attended the funeral in Duesseldorf, West Germany, of a one-time aide to Adolf Hitler, Die Welt am Sonntag newspaper said. Richard Schulze-Kossens, who served as one of Hitler’s adjutants from 1941-44, died July 3 of lung cancer at the age of 73, the newspaper said. His funeral was held Friday. Die Welt said that Hitler’s last personal adjutant, Otto Guensche, accompanied Schulze-Kossens’ widow to the services. Werner Grothmann, former chief aide to SS leader Heinrich Himmler, was among two former Nazi officers who delivered eulogies at the service, the paper said.
