The San Diego Opera Scenic Studio has received the contract to build the set for Los Angeles Music Center Opera’s production of Rossini’s “Tancredi,” opening in February, 1989. Work will start later this month in order to ship the completed set to Chicago by Dec. 16. The Lyric Opera of Chicago will share this new production of Rossini’s 1813 heroic opera. This is the fourth set San Diego has built for the 2-year-old Los Angeles company.
