Inspired by Holy Mother

Regarding “The Radical Simplicity of Mother Teresa” (by Paul Dean, June 3): Usually I take the Bible, but on June 3 after I offered Holy Mass, I took into the chapel for meditation and inspiration the Los Angeles Times--in particular the inspiring article on Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Your perceptive writer captured in heart-warming empathy and accuracy the unselfish, Christlike spirit of this worldwide apostle to the poorest of the poor.

I am having 1,000 photocopies made of the article to distribute (with a dollar bill for each of them) to the poor and homeless on Los Angeles’ Skid Row. I want them to know what a champion and advocate they have in Nobel Prize-winner Mother Teresa, a living saint.

Those on Skid Row need to know that she and others truly care about their plight.
