New York City Opera director Beverly Sills will be bubbling forth on the airwaves come next year, according to an agreement announced Thursday between the ex-diva and GTG East, the New York half of the production company founded by Grant Tinker and the Gannett Co. Sills will tape a pilot TV talk show before a New York audience sometime in the near future, a GTG spokesman said Thursday. The format will include a band with entertainers and other celebrities joining Sills, along with a different co-host each week. GTG East plans to assemble the pilot this summer and begin selling the show to local stations this fall.
