San Diego should get a little more sunshine over the weekend as night and morning clouds, which have been hanging around longer than usual, begin to disappear.

Beaches will be partly cloudy today, but cloud cover will lift earlier Saturday, making way for sunny afternoons that will last through the weekend, according to National Weather Service Forecaster Wilbur Shigehara.

Shigehara said beach temperatures should reach the upper 60s today, warming Saturday and Sunday. Ocean water temperatures are to be near 70 degrees, with swells from 3 to 5 feet.
