SOVIET CHIC

“Soviet Chic,” by George Stein (June 5), revealed a broad-based, if somewhat superficial, attraction by Americans to almost everything Soviet. We must take issue with the remarks concerning the trade relationships between Los Angeles and the Soviet Union. Armand Hammer notwithstanding, our firm has had as its sole customer for the last 30 years the Soviet Union.
