Tribune Co.’s second-quarter profit rose 31% to a record $63.6 million from a year ago. Revenue grew 10% to $613 million. The Chicago-based media firm’s newspaper, broadcasting and entertainment, and newsprint units reported higher operating profit. Lower expenses and a lower tax rate also were cited.
