Local News in Brief : Countywide : Cypress Councilman New Transit Chairman
Cypress City Councilman Gerald Mullen was elected chairman of the board of the Orange County Transit District on Monday, succeeding William E. Farris.
At the same time, county Supervisor Roger R. Stanton was elected the board’s vice chairman. Mullen, vice chairman from January, 1987, until his election Monday, has served on the transit district’s board of directors since 1984. Stanton has been a board member since 1981.
Both terms are for one year.
