The Pasadena Board of Directors has approved a water conservation measure that includes the possibility of rationing if the state’s water shortage worsens.
The ordinance seeks voluntary cutbacks on washing cars, watering lawns and serving water in restaurants.
But if the city is faced with a major reduction in its water supply, residents and businesses could be required to reduce water consumption by up to 45%.
