The Orange County Transit District conducted an On-Board Survey of its passengers on Nov. 17-20 and Nov. 24, 1987, during the morning runs. About 49,000 questionnaires were distributed on the district’s fixed-route and Dial-a-Ride vehicles. More than 17,000 usable surveys were returned by fixed-route passengers; Dial-a-Ride passengers returned about 1,300.
The chart below details district ridership bus alightings (where riders got off the bus) for the top cities within the system’s jurisdiction. Seventy-seven percent of all bus alightings took place in just these nine cities.
