Edward D. Smith has joined Calsonic International in the new position of group vice president-operations. Calsonic, headquartered in Irvine, is a holding company that oversees U.S. subsidiaries of Nihon Radiator Co., Tokyo, a manufacturer of automotive systems and parts. Before joining Calsonic, Smith was vice president and general manager of the automotive division of Modine Manufacturing Co. in Racine, Wis. In addition, Chuck B. Smith has been appointed vice president-business development, also a new post. Previously, he was vice president-marketing at Calsonic.
