South Korean Agriculture Ministry officials said the country was about to end a three-year ban on beef imports to ease trade friction with the United States and Australia. The South Korean government cut off imports of U.S. and Australian beef--totaling 26,000 tons worth $9 million in 1984--in 1985. South Korea would import 14,500 metric tons of beef this year, the officials said.
