Olympic gold medalist Paul Gonzales attempts to bounce back from his first professional defeat tonight when he takes on Javier (Suzuki) Diaz in a 10-round flyweight fight at the Irvine Marriott hotel.
Gonzales (8-1) lost a disputed decision to Ramon Medel on June 17 at San Antonio. Diaz (40-13) is from Piedras Negras, Mexico.
In another 10-rounder, Genaro Hernandez (14-0) of Los Angeles fights Jose Mosqueda (22-7) of Mexico City. The card starts at 7:30.
