4 Hurt, 300 Evacuated in Plastics Plant Blast

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. —
An explosion and fire roared through a plastics plant early Monday, injuring four people and releasing dangerous fumes that forced the evacuation of about 300 people for four hours, authorities said.
Two of the injured were listed in critical condition with extensive burns. The cause of the blast was under investigation.
