Computer Sciences Corp. said first-quarter profit increased by 24% to $11.7 million from a year ago. Revenue rose to $299.3 million. The El Segundo firm said the revenue gain is attributable to strong growth in professional services operations, which increased by 22% to $31.4 million, and in federal systems and services, which rose 14% to $191.9 million.
