Monterey Park : Consulting Firm Hired

Share

The city has hired a consulting firm as a first step toward having a hotel built to serve the Los Angeles Corporate Center.

The $16,000 study by Pannell, Kerr, Forster, a Los Angeles accounting firm, will determine what type of hotel should be built, considering who would stay there, how long they would stay and how much they would be willing to pay.

“I’d like to see a 5-star hotel,” acting City Manager David P. Bentz said.

Leslie Anderson Little, the city’s development services administrator, said tentative plans call for a 250- to 300-room hotel that would cater to businessmen visiting the office park on the city’s southwest border beside the Long Beach Freeway.
