Federal judges in Los Angeles and Bridgeport, Conn., today refused to unseal search warrant information on the Pentagon bribery probe, saying release of the documents might compromise the investigation.

U.S. District Judge David V. Kenyon in Los Angeles reversed a ruling by U.S. Magistrate Joseph Reichmann earlier this month that the documents from the California portion of the investigation should be unsealed. In Bridgeport, U.S. District Judge T. F. Gilroy Daly said the documents sought by the Hartford Courant “are extremely detailed and contain information that would certainly endanger the ongoing grand jury proceedings.”
